Smarkaka, sakush! Frashta mashwar dajris warshtay.
(Hi, friends! It’s time for the word of the day.)
Sa dajris warshta : wayka.
Meaning “attack” or “ambush”, this is another very common word in Oros. Often from Udam yelling “U-sa wayka!” (Attack him!) as they try to smash your face in with a club.
Source: PIE *weik– ‘conquer’, continued by English vic-tory & con-vince, both from Latin vinco ‘conquer’. Also seen in Old Irish fíchid, Old Norse vega.
